27 weeks - They need to be better than this
A very poor week. A couple of 5am starts for work and some late nights thrown in and the training just didn't get there. Some days the training wasn't done due to sheer laziness.I only managed to get out and do my one hour run once with an additional 30 mins on the trainer for the bike. At this rate, I'll never get anywhere near enough fitness to take a shot at the half.
Gotta knuckle down and get it done. Next week is 6 months to go. That's 6 months to get the fitness needed to get around the course in under 7 hours 30 minutes. Sitting at a desk is not going to get me there.
On the good side, the full hour on my run was a non-stop run with the distance up to 9.32km. I also managed to keep going for the full 30mins on the bike trainer. I've put the old steel bohemoth on the fluid trainer, leaving the new bike for the road. It hasn't been out yet, but that will happen later this afternoon. On the weight side, everything's on target, getting below 85kg by the end of January.
